Brief service biography: From October 2000 to December 2002, John worked at a grassroots NGO called the Institute for Development Cooperation as Coordinator of Strategy and Research in Kazakhstan. His service included designing and writing research projects, editing and translating publications into English, as well as organizing and implementing trainings for partnering NGOs. John also participated in mobilizing resources and managing the process of monitoring and evaluation.

With the experience he gained through Peace Corps, John continues to work internationally with Samaritan's Purse, the Christian relief organization, in Boone, NC. John currently serves as Regional Director for South and East Africa with the Operation Christmas Child project.
